What is Occutunity?
Occutunity is a purpose-driven job matching platform that uses the ancient wisdom of Ikigai and the 8 Pillars of Life to connect job seekers with opportunities that align with their values, skills, and life goals—not just their resume.
How does the matching work?
Our AI analyzes your Ikigai assessment (what you love, are good at, and what the world needs) along with your life priorities to calculate a compatibility score with each job and company. You swipe right to express interest, and when both sides match, you can start chatting!
Is Occutunity free for job seekers?
Yes! Occutunity is completely free for job seekers. Employers pay for the platform, so you can focus on finding your dream job without any cost.
What is the Ikigai assessment?
The Ikigai assessment helps you discover your "reason for being" by exploring four areas: what you love, what you're good at, what the world needs, and what brings you peace. This creates a holistic picture of your ideal work environment.
What are the 8 Pillars of Life?
The 8 Pillars represent key life areas: Health, Career, Relationships, Purpose, Finances, Personal Growth, Fun/Recreation, and Environment. You rank these to help us match you with companies that support your priorities.
Can I retake the assessments?
Yes! You can retake assessments anytime from your Profile page. Your matches will update based on your new responses.
What does the match score mean?
The match score (0-100%) represents how well a job aligns with your values, skills, and life priorities. Higher scores indicate better alignment. We recommend focusing on jobs with 75%+ match scores.
What happens when I match with a company?
When both you and an employer swipe right, you'll see a celebration screen and can start messaging directly. Employers may schedule interviews through the platform.
Can I undo a swipe?
Yes! Use the undo button to reverse your last swipe. You can also view saved jobs in your Saved tab.
Who can see my profile?
Only approved employers can view your profile, and only if you're approved by our admin team. Your personal contact information is never shared until you choose to share it in chat.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings > Account and select "Delete Account". This will permanently remove all your data from our platform.
Can I export my data?
Yes! Go to Settings > Privacy & Data to download all your personal data in a portable format.
How do I post a job?
Navigate to Employer Dashboard > Jobs > Post New Job. Fill in the job details, requirements, and your company values to attract aligned candidates.
What does the values matching do?
When you define your company's core values, vision, and culture, our AI uses this to show your jobs to candidates who share similar values, leading to better cultural fit and longer retention.
How do I schedule interviews?
Once you match with a candidate, you can schedule interviews directly in the chat. You can also connect your calendar for seamless booking.
